| | | I really wanted it to have a special place in my heart but it went out of my boundaries of likign on the last 2/3rds of the movie. I did like it, but I can't say love it without feeling like I'm lying.
I wanted to really love it, I did. But I did like the imagery. The plot, albeit accurate to the way dreams can play out... Okay, maybe it'll grow on me. I was expecting some more Michel Gondry with Kaufman, so maybe that's my damage.

| | | Well then I get Stephanie! Someone else can have Lola.
I loved his co-workers. Hahaha. I love the dream where he's controlling the world and they're grovelling to him. I loved his female co-worker the most.
And I felt sorry for him when he started up with his calender. Disasterology! I'd buy it.
That scene in the cave was beautiful, I thought. I thought the whole thing was gorgeous! Especially the abstract paintings that were like inkblots.

| | | How can we be fags? We're opposite sex!
It's the IDEA of it!
or something.
I loved that scene, I found it so... distasteful but pure.
"Can you do something for me while I'm gone before we marry?"
"What's that?"
"Fix your teeth. They're horrid. Actually, if you had no teeth it would be better for giving blowjobs!"
At which point he's told off.
Or when he looks at the blood on the door he left and says, "Hey, everyone's leaving their Dirty Sanchezes on your door now."
So surreal, the whole experience.
I like the part where he's swimming around the top of the city most of all.

| | | i don't know if i loved this or not. i liked it. it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside until the end; then i delved into a depressive funk. maybe it's just my mood. i got kind of confused toward the end. i'll probably buy it.
i laughed so hard during the dream where they are on a ski lift and his co-workers are behind them yelling, "GOAT ON THE CLIFF!" ha. |
