Shortbus, directed by John Cameron Mitchell
(Hedwig And The Angry Inch), premiered a few days
ago at the Toronto Film Festival. Among many
talented others, the cast features Bitch, whose
new album is being released by Kill Rock Stars
next month. The film opens on Oct. 4th in New
York and Oct. 6th in Los Angeles and San
Francisco.

I've never seen hedwig (though I plan to) but this film looks really good!

I wanna see it very badly...as does my mom...but I'm definitely not seeing it with her...

I've seen a interview on this, it looked decent.

Saw this mid-summer. Excellent movie. Very funny and ultimately moving.

The sex starts right off the bat, so there's no waiting around for it, but it's so disarming and amusing that it's hard to feel uncomfortable. And the sex doesn't seem prurient - it's almost always comical (the group blowjob, the frantic hetero humping during the opening), though there are a couple of "serious" masturbation scenes.

I thought it was just as strong as Hedwig, if not more. Ironically, the hetero sex is more graphic than the homo sex, which is limited to oral (meanwhile, Sook Yin Lee goes all the way).

I'll be interested to see what jobs the actors go on to - will this movie get them work or limit them? The performances were all terrific. Also liked the animated version of NYC that dots the movie.

I saw it earlier this month.....the movie stunk. It was basically porn meets an off-off Broadway play.

I'm looking forward to watching it, heard good things and the trailer makes it seem smarter and generally better than all of the other films with real sex in.

I loved Headwig, so I am sure this going to be one to see.
