| | | Good (or even average) horror movies I was reading the thread about The Hills Have Eyes and i thought i should definetly see that! (btw we are talking about the new version of that movie, because there are two arent there?)
Anyway, i like horror movies, even pretty shitty ones cause im easy to scare...
But of course good ones are always better, the ones that really haunt you!
I would recommend these:
The Tale Of Two Sisters (really weird, it made me all confused, very twisted)
The Last Horror Movie (ok it isnt traditional horror really, and the name is a joke you have to see the film to get it )
The Cube (maybe not horror actually, but a classic)
Dark Water (original, i know little ghost girl is a huge cliché but i like this one more that The Ring fo example) |

| | | I watched The Descent a few nights ago, and I LOVED it. You should definitely check it out.
There are 2 versions of The Hills Have Eyes, one made in 2006 and the original which was released in 1977 (and directed by Wes Craven). I really liked the remake.
I'm a total sucker for the Nightmare On Elm Street series, although they kinda turned in to a joke towards the end (not including New Nightmare, it was great).

as soon as she told me the story of the father roasted over the spit i decided i should not watch it or prepare myself for at least two years of nightmares if i did |

| | | My favorite horror movies are....
Halloween
Alien
Carrie
The Descent
Wolf Creek
Silence Of The Lambs
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Dead Ringers
The problem is that there are so fe good horror movies that the good ones have already been watched by most people.
If you want to watch some pleasantly suprising bad ones go for Curtains, Silent Night Deadly Night, Prom Night 3, Halloween 4, Troll 2, etc |

Also to "seethelight", I really liked "Lost Souls" aswell.
I was in a horror mood the other day. Finally saw "Jeepers Creepers" & "Jeepers Creepers 2" as channel 4 had them on over the weekend.
I'd heard shit things about them, but they were ok. Not as bad as i thought they'd be.
I need to see "Saw 2" and "The Hills Have Eyes". |

| | Mentionning all the classics such The Shining, Halloween, The Exorcist, Evil Dead or Dawn of The Dead would be too obvious and easy.
I think Ravenous is one of the most underrated horror movie. It's not really a horror movie, but it's good. Robert Carlyle is awesome in this movie. He is funny and scary. Sadly, a lot of people forgot this movie... The Last House on the Left is the only Wes Craven movie I thought was scary... It's scary and funny because the happy music. Freaks is very good too. I understand why people were traumatised while watching this movie. Suspiria... Well, it's a classic like The Shining and Halloween but I wanted to mention it. I love the way the girls die in this movie. It's a stupid reason to like a movie I know but it's a well directed movie with well directed deaths. The Howling is a very good werewolf movie. I think the good werewolf movies are rare... There is a lot of good zombie movies but not a lot of good werewolf movies.
One of my favorite bad horror movie of all time is The Convent. It's hilarious, all the characters are very cliché... Some gore jokes are funny. | |
