I'd like to see a film of Doris Lessing's life. It would be a very luvvie British theatre types movie, with Richard E Grant or Alan Rickman as the "name" actor, but I really would love to see one. I'd cast Emily Watson as "young Doris", and Maggie Smith as "old Doris".
A Margaret Thatcher film would be a hoot. Having played the Queen recently, Helen Mirren must be itching for her next big role...
