I saw this about a month ago, and it was the first time in maybe 17 years.
The show went downhill when they stopped running this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SBb7jeJfJU
Maybe they've brought him back. |

| | | The cartoons and random sketches may have been the best part of the show. Maybe the two-headed monster was.
I still remember how crayons are made because of one in particular. Memory is weird. |

| | | Does anyone remember when Kermit(? i think it was Kermit) got behind an x-ray machine and you could see his bones? Then it changed and you could see all his muscles while he breathed and stuff. I think he ate a cookie aswell. I used to love that sketch. |

| | | I grew up where Henson raised his kids, and one of them was my little brother's age. When my brother was in nursery school, he brought Ernie & Bert in, and I guess they made some kind of special event out of it, because I was there (I would have been in kindergarden or first grade) and so were my parents. The grownups were dazzled by the artistry. The kids were disapointed because from our point of view, it wasn't the real Ernie & Bert, it was just puppets of Ernie & Bert.

| | | Sesame street still rocks. I have a 2 year old, so I get to see it a lot. Last week they had Wyclef on, and recently we caught the repeat of the one with Natalie Portman. Oh and the puppet version of Law & Order SVU is fucking hilarious.
It's so cool that something I loved as a small child is still around for my little girl. She even sleeps with the sesame street blanket I had as a toddler. |
