If he overdoses he'll only become even more cliche' and become even more of an icon to people, which is sad. I'd rather he just faded away and people forgot about him or became fed up with him. Although Layne from AIC was not working for a few yrs with AIC bc of his drug use and died pretty much quietly and is remembered for his music primarily, i guess he's a Rare exception.
