I finally got to see this and while I was a bit pissed about too many interviews wasted on the newer acts, Gogol Bordello made that part worth watching. The film starts with bands like Suicide, Teenage Jesus and The Jerks, DNA, Theoretical Girls, Swans, and Foetus. Then we see Sonic Youth and that basically goes into the newer acts like YY's, a.r.e. Weapons, Liars, and Gogol Bordello.
I enjoyed this mostly for the rare footage and extras. Lydia is wicked as ever and Suicide are still amazing. The band that really irks me is a.r.e. Weapons who look like thug assholes and they sound really like Suicide...the singer even mentioned in a bitchy way how they get compared to Suicide...yeah, duh. I recently saw this band and they were running about in sweatbands and athletic-type clothing, like they were preparing to enter a boxing match. If you don't really know about Gogol Bordello, this will grab you by the neck and force you to seek them out, for they are just great.
