I just received this e-mail from work colleague and I'm trying to help them as much as possible.
If you live in the surrounding area of Brighton please read the e-mail below:
"Hi
I am looking for a home for a lovely *****cat. He is about 4 years old and is an indoor cat because unfortunately he has the feline flu virus so cannot mix with other cats.
The virus is basically a respiratory infection that affects thousands of cats every year. The illness is highly contagious and tends to thrive in places where there are large feline populations, such as rescue shelters and feral colonies. Many cats do manage to survive the illness and eventually recover. However, once a cat has had cat flu, it will be a carrier of the virus for the rest of its life.
Bruce is a lovely little cat and really affectionate, he loves people and lots of cuddles. He is currently with my friend who adopted him for the Cats Protection League but he does not get on with her dog therefore will be going back to the Cats Protection League tomorrow and as he has the flu virus he will have to live in a cage!!!!!
If you or anyone you know can offer him a home please let me know ASAP.
Thanks, Nic"
