| | Is he sleeping?
Go get him!
Sooooo, I have an issue and I've already made up my mind about it, but...
As I may have mentioned before, Mortimer has a lump on his cheek My friend's sister works at a vets office and she said she could bring him in Saturday to get if checked and make sure it's not cancerous, for free. She's just going to say that he is her sisters rat (my friend).
Anyways, apparently there is a risk of him dying (50/50) because they have to put him to sleep to do it. I don't think it's worth the risk really, and I think if I did want to risk it I would bring him to the vet I brought him and Ainsley too when they had respiratory infections. The sisters vet is great with dogs and cats, but I brought my old rat there when he was sick and I didn't like the way they handled him and the guy didn't know fuck all. That was at the other branch (there are two branches of this vet) but it just sketches me out.
I think I'm being reasonable. No? Tomorrow I'm going to call my friend and ask her more about it, but the vibe is no at the moment.

I just went and got one of Billy's brothers to keep him company. I was worried about him being lonely, so I went back and goooot
Monty!
It was very hard to get a picture of him because he wouldn't stay still!
He chatters all the time and is teeny tiny. |

| | I have three now
At the moment he is in a cage by himself, but when he gets bigger I'm introducing him to Mortimer and Ainsley. I think that since Kenny is so small right now they would kill him if I put them all together. Kenny could also fit through the bars of the big boy's cage (because it's meant for ferrets)
Monty is a handsome little devil! I love the colour if him
Give belly kisses and cheek rubs to Billy and Monty from me!
Mortimer is at the vet today with my friend's sister. They're not doing the putting him to sleep thing though, they're just checking him out.

| | | Nah, well that was the idea at first but we just couldn't part with them. They are lovely. The tank is pretty big like 1.5 metres long but also that fish has grown much more than expected. We'll have to give him away to someone who has a fish pond soon cos he's just too big. |

i guess with birds you have to be very very careful about how buys one because they need lots of love and affection and a knowlegable people arund who will be with them forever. and forever is a long damn time when it conmes to birds! they live decades.
i want a fish tank. im starting with guppies and a couple of blue dwarf gouramis.
and an apple snail!

| | | Tame ones, yes. Untame ones don't give a fuck about that. They just want the food and then get out of their damn cage! I only have a few tame ones, about 3 out of 35 or so, so they do get a lot of attention. |

He has the lump on his cheek still, but it hasn't grown so it's not really a problem. The vet said it was probably just a skin tag and nothing too serious. I wouldn't let them test it to see if it was cancer because in my opinion, it's not worth the 50/50 chance at the moment.
If the lump grows and he seems to be in pain I'll probably just have to take the final trip to the vet. Buutttt, lets not think about that now because it's not yet the issue.
