Bad pet mommy

I was clipping Buckleys nails and hit the quick on more than one. We did baking soda, corn starch and went to the pet hospital. While he was there they had clotted so they sent us home. Now they are still bleeding a bit. I am leaving a message at the vet for them to call in the am.
I feel horrible and we had been having a good day before I botched the nails.
I have had cats since I was a kid and never hit the quick ever.

So upsetting as he is confused. I made little bandages for his back feet and now he is extra clumsy. I am holding him like they said to at the vet.

I don't think I've ever clipped my cats' nails? They just keep theirs down through scratching things outside.

my rabbit caught his claw on the carpet once and we used a styptic pen to stop it bleeding.

i feel like the tards who used to cut buzz's nails did this every so often.

bc i could see blood sometimes.

then it heals fine on its own.

now i take her to the vet to get her nails cut & it doesn't happen anymore.

i'd like to get leroy's nails cut since he's always kneading my neck & it hurts.

but he's too delicate of a soul.

car rides really upset him.

and i'm too jumpy to do it myself.

me inflicting accidental pain on leroy is against the law.

punishable by death.

i have to do my eldest's every time i'm visiting. she won't let my mother do it. i've never hit the quick. but for some reason, as she's gotten older, her claws have become really thick and hard to cut. i guess because she's not running around outside and climbing up trees anymore. i bet she misses that.

the youngest doesn't really need his doing as he still does run around outside a lot. and i like to leave them sharp in case he gets in any trouble. he hates having them clipped anyway.

i'm sure buckley will heal in no time.

He is doing better today one is still not fully healed yet. I have the stypic powder now so I am going to put it on that one.
I just feel bad...I used to do them all of the time but I neglected them because I am always with baby. The vet lady said sometimes when they grow the quick does change so to make sure I do it under right light.
I might take him to the vet and have then do the next few times. I am gun shy now.
