I come home from work Friday around 8 and she's in my driveway.

I rush her to an after hours vet and I had to put her to sleep.

At first I thought someone shot her. That wound punctured her lung and when she breathed it moved and bubbled.

The vet said likely she was attacked. I think a person did it rather than an animal.

She would never stay in the yard even tho I fixed 10 spots she'd keep getting out.

Surgery would have been 2000 and the prognosis uncertain due to damage to her lung. The vet recommended putting her down too. So I don't feel AS bad than if it'd strictly been a money issue.

I feel so bad.

She was the sweetest. When you;d hug & kiss on her she'd make these lil noises just like a person.

I found her last year on April 1 in the middle of my pasture out back. Dont know how she got back there. My property is surrounded by pastures. There aren't nearby houses. I had previously found 2 dead dogs on my pasture, at different times. I think someone dumped them back there.

Poor lil dog.

Jeez. That's horrible! Was no one at home with her? Was she just allowed to wander around in the area?

edit: oh wait, you said it's surrounded by fields and stuff.
