my kitty starla is 2 years old. she's had no problems before, but for the last two weeks, she has been pissing on things like my shoes, the living room couch, the top of the washing machine and i just don't get it. i've done the whole "put her nose in it and give her a little smack" and that didn't work.

her litter is very clean, i'm crazy about making sure that i scoop it everyday. and i just don't understand why she's being such a punk.

she is not fixed and a lot of people say that that is a problem and she's just trying to mark her territory. but, why now?

When a cat suddenly starts doing that, it could be a sign of a health problem like a urinary tract infection. Bring it to the vet!

Because now she's a mature adult cat. The whole nose in it/smack trick will not work.

Get her fixed.

If you can't afford it, there are low cost vets and you could get her spayed for about 30 bucks. You just have to look for one in your area.

This may be possible. But more than likely, she needs to be spayed.

i thought it was just the boys who sprayed their territory?
and yeah do some research to find out about no/low cost spaying in your area
try calling a local animal shelter, that sounds like the sort of info they should be able to give you
