yeah urinary tract infection is extremely common in cats. does she normally drink enough/a lot of water? if she does then i wouldn't worry. but i think it may be because she i not fixed, and she should be either way.

My cat (who's been residing at my mom's for the past two years) has been driving her bonkers with his peeing sprees. She bought two miniature rugs for her new bathroom and as soon as she displayed them, two urine stains were gracing the interior. So she took them away and Elmo (teh cat) went immediately back to using his litter box. So after good month or so, she placed the rugs back thinking the cat must have forgotten all about it and within 5 seconds he "christened" them again only to go back to his normal routines after the rugs were finally removed so who knows what possesses them to do it...all i know is my mom will have to get used to having one fugly rugless bathroom from now on.

Unless you are using her for breeding, there is really no excuse.

She might be mad at you, my cat did that once when I was away for very long periods of time. I would most definitely take her to the vet, just to make sure that she isn't sick.
