| | | Anyone have/had Gestational Diabetes while you were pg? I have to retake my glucose test next Monday to determine weather or not I do, but for now it's making me crazy. I'm afraid to eat because I don't want to hurt the baby. I don't really know a lot about it, but my Dr. said it was because my body isn't producing enough insulin. ? If you've had/have it, how did you change your diet during pregnancy, and did it further develope after you had the baby? |

| | | I haven't had it, but someone I know had it with 2 of her kids. She just changed her diet and had to have insulin injections. Her kids were fine, you tend to have them slightly earlier though because they are quite often big babies. Her's went after she had the babies. |

| | | one of my best friends had it with her second baby. she was shocked because she is healthy, was a marathon runner, and wasn't overweight in the least. she really had to watch what she ate, no sugary foods, ate regularly, healthy whole grains, unprocessed foods (but that's a good thing)
baby was fine, she's fine now too. no diabetes. |

| | | I am just over 8 mos. preg. I have it. It sucks so much, only because I love cake so much and I cant have it - they are inducing me in a week so she doesnt get too big, but shes only about 7 lbs. now (not too big, my first one was over 8 lbs. without diabetes). but dont worry, just listen to your doctor and you will be fine, its only dangerous if you dont stick to your diet. And I only had 1 glucose test and they knew, so you may not even have it. |
