sorry...really freaking out

I'm 19, me and my boyfriend had sex and the condom broke about a month ago. This was a saturday night, and the pharmacys and clinics were not open on a sunday so I had to wait till the monday to get the monring after pill.

I have taken the morning after pill before, and what happened was that a week after taking it, I bled heavily for about 6 days which the doctor told me was a fairly normal side effect that happens to some women, and then I got my next period, as normal, about a week later than it should have been though.

This time it kind of happened the same, about a week afterwards, I bled for about 6-7 days, no period cramping or anything just bleeding - but now my period is 9 days late.

I'm just more worried now because the last time when I took it, there was not much risk, he didnt ejaculate inside me or anything I was just making sure really. But this time there really is a risk as we saw afterwards that the condom had PROPERLY ripped and he had ejaculated inside me. Plus I took it a day later, making it less effective.

Thing is I have read that most women experience a period 7 to 9 days from taking the morning after pill...which would fit in with my bleeding a week after taking it...however I didnt get cramps or anything like I usually do.

I have been feeling bloated in the last couple of days, which I'm not sure is an early sign or pregnancy, just normal blaoting before my period, or just the amount of food I am being forced to consume over christmas.

I know the only thing to do in these situations is to take a test but in this crappy village I live in, no places are open for a couple of days because its christmas.

I'm 19 and he's 18, we have no money and no job and theres no way I want to bring a kid into what I'm living in now...but I don't know if I could handle having an abortion....

I'm just completely freaking out and wondered if anyone else had a similar experiences?

*****ETA I just found a pregnancy test that I've had for ages, probably since february 2005, I took it and it showed up NOT pregnant, but the expiry date on it said 01-07 which is well...really near. so I dunno what to think...

The morning after pill can screw up your cycle a bit so don't be too worried just yet.
Wikipedia says "Temporary disruption of the menstrual cycle is also common and may manifest as early or late periods, spotting or breakthrough bleeding, and (less commonly) missed periods. The primary mechanism of EC is delaying ovulation. Menstruation occurs, on average, 14 days after ovulation, so delayed ovulation results in delayed menstruation. Suppression of ovulation may cause anovulatory bleeding, which could manifest as an early period." Just get another test as soon as you can. You're probably fine.

Yeah, you're most likely fine. You did all the right things. Also, maybe you're so stressed out freaking out about this that your period is screwed up too. I've had friends that as soon as they get a pregnancy test and it comes out negative they relax and their period comes the next day.
