| | | Disabled people are not special Being deaf is a disability. Humans are born with ear drums, ear canals, etc…..Humans are designed to pick up auditory noises and have them processed by the brain.
Any biological function that humans innately possess, but is not functional in a particular human, indicates a disability....Not being able to see, hear, smell, etc. are all disabilities.
disabilty means you are “dis-able”, you are not able to do something.....why would/should this be considered special?.....I understand wanting to accomodate for people…. but why is not being able to do something considered “special”? Many people are not able to drive, because they never learned. Many people never learned to read or write. Are functional illiterates special? Are people that drive like shit special? I would say not. |

Remarkable. | this very thread proves he was remarkable.
and apparently, the fact that we are discussing him, also makes him outstanding.
i, myself, see nothing out of the ordinary about luring gay men to your house, drugging them, then killing them, and then saving their body parts and internal organs for further consumption....... that seems relatively tame in this day and age, does it not?
It's not like he shot up a school, or raised gas prices, or listened to marilyn manson, or anything like that.... |

| | | It's true.
The fact that your mental disability prevents you from shutting the fuck up because you sound ridiculous... DOESN'T MAKE YOU "SPECIAL".
It just makes you remarkably annoying.
There's a pill for people like you. It's brand name is "cyanide".
Take two and shut the fuck up. |

| | | i just want to say that HANDICAPPED people should not drive. because if you have that fucking sticker in your car window, and can drive, THEN THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
fuckers just want that sticker because they are too lazy to walk and they need to park in the very first spot. |

| | | Please tell that to the next veteran you see getting out of their vehicle. Make their day, sunshine. I mean, he or she might be getting into a wheelchair from the side of their specially equipped van so they can go grocery shopping just like "normal" people do... but they should have to park wwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyy far away from the store.
Because they apparently haven't given enough for you to give them the basic kindness of a parking spot nearer to the store.
I guess it's too long of a walk for you, you lazy shit. Hey, why not go on over to Iraq and lose a limb or two and see what it's like? Or maybe become a paraplegic? Hmm, maybe then the whole "parking space" injustice might take on a different meaning.
Nothing more disgusting than people bitching about people with disabilities. You tap dance in front of cripples, you shits? How about twitch around in front of epileptics?
Be happy you're not disabled. And have some compassion for people who are AND DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT IT, or complain about the "normal" people who just saunter around on their working legs and feet, showing off. |

THEY are mocking the system... the vets... the real handicapped.
just because your ass is fat doesn't mean you should have a sticker. even if you have diabetes, no sticker for you... get your ass to walk that fat off.

maybe a veteran is special because they have risked their life for their country. But a person who is disabled is not special, merely because they are disabled. Quote: |

| well, i guess if they lost a limb and grew a wing instead, that would be special. Quote: |

| interesting. why are you thinking i don't have compassion for them?
you think merely because I do not consider someone "special" then I do not have compassion for them?
interesting. i have compassion for many people. having compassion for someone also does not indicate that the individual is "special"..... |

fuckers just want that sticker because they are too lazy to walk and they need to park in the very first spot. | My sister has a disablity. She was in a car crash in 1989. Her diagnosis is mild quadrapalegic. All of her mobility outside her apartment is in a wheelchair or scooter. She has a tag not because she drives, rather to enable her to actually get out. Her tag is used by my parents and myself when she is out with any of us. She doesn't drive and her tag is her ability to get out in the world.
A handicap spot is extra wide, allowing a wheelchair or scooter to come along side the care so the disabled person can get in the damn thing. When all the spots are taken its impossible for her to use a regular spot, wheelchairs do not fit.
Yes, agreed, anyone taking a tag or space unnecessarily deserves punishment. As does the Doctor (according to my state's rules) who signs for it. |

specifically the handful of people i see using it at work. maybe they have the sticker for someone else. but i'd like to think it's because they're a fat ass who doesn't want to walk the extra distance. i say this because i can obviously see that they don't have a disability (maybe someone else in their house does). but they are using the sticker for themself... to use that spot... when they are perfectly healthy. except for the fat part. |

If found they doc was wrong, I'd support pulling the license of both the offender and the doc who signed for it. I agree-- convenience tags are a disgrace. |

btw, it's a little off topic, not that you really have any point but to spam up the board, but being able to read and write may actually be the exception worldwide. There's an awful lot of people who don't get an education, so it's really a shame to see someone like you who had opportunities remain as dumb as a chewed up spit out carrot.

| | | I hate the whole notion that all people who have disabilities are courageous or are to be admired for their strength. My dad's been in a wheelchair for 20 years due to Multiple Sclerosis and uses his situation to be a dick to the general public. For example he has many times rolled over people's feet and then yelled at them | |
