this universe. i read an interesting psychology article on it not long ago. forget the name of the condition. in fact, there was one happened quite recently which was reported in the press. a guy couldn't bear to live without his wife when she passed away so he cut her up and kept her in the freezer for months before admitting what he had done.

it may be disguisting to you but that doesn't make it a rare occurance. percentile based it is a tiny fraction, but with the number of people in the world it happens on a frequently enough basis. in the uk i reckon i hear of it happening at least twice a year. it happens a lot more than bodies lying around for great lengths of time in a home, undiscovered (although even this isn't entirely unheard of).

It all sounds plausible apart from the "Vincent had apparently been placed in the women's refuge accommodation" you would think someone from the refuge would want to know why that unit was still occupied after three years.
I guess she was paying rent etc via diect debit and the money finally ran out. Debt notices were sent by post but she never picked them up, or any other mail. The neighbours probably assumed she had split and not bothered to change her address (my family was still getting speeding fines for the guy who lived in our house before us up to a year and a half after he moved out). There would have been no record of credit card use to track her down, her cards were probably cancelled (if she even had any) after she didn't pay her yearly fee. It's sad but it's just bad luck really.

We still sometimes got mail for the people who lived in our house before us for about TEN YEARS after they moved out. And it wasn't always junk mail either, some of it was official-looking letters. We still get mail for my dad occasionally, and cold callers asking to speak to him, even though he hasn't lived with us for nearly 15 years.

Having worked in an administration-type job I can totally see how this could have been overlooked for three years. I kept coming across files that should have been dealt with months or sometimes years back and they'd been placed to one side for whatever reason and then forgotten about (my job was in insurance but it's the same principle). These organisations are so huge that things do sometimes slip through the net. Sad but true.

It's obvious this bitch was worthless because no one LOVED HER. Who cares. There was some fat skank who got stuck to her couch and died. They didn't find her for a long ass time too. The danger of obesity has been made clear. No one loves fat people and they die alone. No one finds them until they are skeletons and they are probably more attractive then too.

yeah i remember reading a french book in which this happened. a boys adoptive mother died and he was totally alone so he just sat with ther until she was decomposing. since then i think of it from time to time. its very very sad.


maybe there were collection agencies sending her shit in the mail and leaving her calls for bills........ combine that with a careless and irresponsible building manager who doesnt keep on top of tenants activities/ payments, ect. maybe he or she was drunk... i think this story is plausible

god that is REALLY sad, no one missed her for three years. But The smell must have been horrendous especially with heating on. But wouldnt her heat been cut off if she hadnt paid it in 3 years?
