That's true. Local news puts almost no time into foreign affairs, and CNN/MSNBC/Fox put very little time into any foreign news outside of the Middle East and almost none into Africa.
But, if you watch Democracy Now!, INN and BBC, listen to Air America, and subscribe to Think Progress, Daily Kos, and a couple of other moderate-liberal news sources you hear a lot more about what's going on in the world.
... Besides just how wrong Lebanon is for doing the same thing that everyone else, including Israel, is doing by not killing everyone in their country just in case they are a terrorist. Although I
do find the sudden chaos in the Middle East to be unnerving considering the thousands of years long bouts of liberty and peace that it's known for. If only Lebanon had bombed their
own entire country, then Israel wouldn't have the burden of doing it
for them!
