| | | i am not racist. i mean sometimes a little bit, but who doesn't mutter at least just a few racial slurs in their life? i grew up in a diverse town, so it's no biggie. |

| | | I think everybody is to some extent. That's not to say it's a fundamental part of us as human beings. You're certainly not born racist. It all comes from the myriad of influences we have throughout our lives, the people we've met from various races, and the situations we've found ourselves in.
I don't think anybody seriously considers themselves racist. The question is therefore redundant, as demonstrated by the number of "no, but..." responses in here. Even the most blatant of racists probably doesn't consider him/herself so, because they'll have a list of justifications for the way they feel.
Personally, I try to be as open-minded as possible in all aspects of life. Despite that, I'm sure there are some underlying stereotypes banging around in my head. I don't catch myself thinking racist thoughts, but perhaps mine (if indeed they do exist) are too subtle for me to pick up on. I don't feel ashamed of possibly being 1% racist, in the grand scheme of things.

| | | No one's gonna outright say they are. Even the biggest racists don't like to call themselves racist. It's a label that people want to avoid. |

| | | can you define what being racist is
does it mean you hate people because they have a different skin colour and gene pool?
or are you racist if you believe yourself to be superior to other people because of your race? |

Well yeah. Normally it's like "I'm not a racist, but...", which is usually followed by the most appaulingly racist diatribe you'll ever hear. It's more about the difference in what people consider racist and what they don't. |

| | | no and i am really tired of the people at my college being so fucking racist all the time. it makes no sense to me and i can't stand it. it makes me want to put my head through a wall. just another thing to add to the list of reasons why everyone at my school/in life is completely disallusioned(not sure if thats a real word - if not, it is now)
edit/add: from my experience, the racist people at my school don't think they are racist at all and say things like "im not racist - i dont burn crosses on ppls lawns or anything"
edit/add again: by the way, rockabilly/50s people that i know are ridiculously racist and sexist. if you like the 50s and want to preserve them, you don't need to preserve the negative aspects also

i don't like racists because i don't like racism. what impact does it have on my life? i'm sick of feeling like everyone is wrong and they are looked upon as right. in my school, appearance is like a 4.0 and i feel like people are so misguided and have opinions that have no foundation. yesterday this girl was saying how she hates black people and she would never date a black guy and i asked her why and she said that one time she saw her friend making out with a black guy. she didn't even answer the question. i just can't handle it, they don't even realize how misguided they are. it overwhelms me |

| ha....welcome to reality. You will have this same feeling the rest of your adult life. it is quite unavoidable for those with a functional mind..... Quote: |

i think a lot of blacks/ negro / whatever you want to call it have evolved now to higher degree of intelligence than the mass of annoying white commoners, a country overpopulated with selfish overfed junk rich morons. with everthing they just dont need or deserve.
(not like courtney, cause she had to fucking stuggle hard to get there.)
i hope the invisible god/s send more plagues to whipe away all the idiots, like pompei lol. the invisible gods always destroy when humanity nations dont keep to balance. i'm thinking something might happen to china next, since as a nation they r just going heywire overboard with americanised suprhighway rubbish and waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much industrial. evry country worldwide needs to slo down and work united, balanced in community infrastucture & all. not just focussing solely in one area thinking itll be saviour to their country when itll just be bought out.
i'll always buy rice from china tho lol
new orleans was sad, but it's cause, as per usual, the herd decided to unjustly drive witches / voodoo out, + accessive too much violence, which were only punnishing justly. so i suspect the gods got angry.
and infamous sodom and gomorah because it was soley focussed no work and just bumsex. but then of course the stupid christians had to just make it out to be THEIR Jehovah God punnishing sod & gom, because they r ignorant and stupid and would blame its destruction solely on 1 thing, instead of seeing that it would have been destroyed by the skygods for more than just ppl getting with other ppl.
and that huge hail destruction in germany like feb this year (was it february?) .... for punnishing its own people for sticking up for whats right, insteadda weakening to bush. same with australia's natural disasters.

How, out of interest, do you get from displaying tribal identity to "verbal masturbation"? Unless you accidentally deleted a load of text explaining that, it sounds like a complete non sequitur. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
