| | | Jon Stewart / Bush / Stem Cell I couldn't pass posting this because I laughed so hard throughout the entire 5 and a half minutes of this airing on the 20th. I thought most of you would enjoy watching it (if you haven't seen it already).
Here is the YouTube link for it because I guess I can't post the video on here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8Vs5xgOif8 |

| | | Buy into what?
The part where Bush was saying "oh about 30,000 or so" made me sick to my stomach. Regardless of whether or not they showed the whole interview, he still said it in such a careless way. As if those individuals didn't matter. |

I think it was utterly tasteless to have the "snowflake children" in the audience for his "speech". Then of course there was the "President Bush doesn't believe in murder" comment... followed by the "How many Iraqi citizens have been killed? Oh about 30,000 or so...".

| | I love Jon Stewart. That report on stem cells was so hilarious. And creepy. Like En Ami said, its disturbing that theres people who actually buy into that. I guess people are really easily manipulated. |

| | | Yes, life begins at conception but once you're born, the outcomes don't matter. For these folks, it's just about "life" and quality of life isn't even the issue. I find the contradiction seriously amusing: The goal is to get life into the world without any care as to what happens after.
30,000 people or so isn't life. It's unfortunate civilian casualties.
seriously sickening. |

But I do agree with you - the numbers are way off. |

I thought you were irritated with me about something. He was actually asked how many Iraqi citizens have been killed so far and he said with such a shallow and careless tone and smirk on his face (as though he were proud), "Oh, about 30,000 or so..."
