I just quoted you.

I think creativity and wisdom are more imortant than knowledge. I quote people who have gone deeper into the abyss of human understanding and I find them to be some of the most intelligent thinkers. Memorization is not the sign of intelligence in my book of standards.

Thank you for pointing out that I came up with a brilliant topic. I try to think outside the box whenever I can.

Intellectualization is a trap but people who use their intellect to follow their passions are living life more fully.

Who is getting more out of life, a cocktail party full of psydo intellectuals discussing literature or a baseball diamond full of athletes putting his/her heart into perfecting their craft ?

Who is smarter ?

.... and what does it matter ?

Adults who were abused or neglected as children sometimes use intellectualism as a crutch to compensate for a lack of emotional development. Destraction from the void. This is a reason why intellectuals may often seem pretentious--control of knowledge may fulfill the narcissistic insecurity which compels one to master and clarify their environment.
