That's one sick little girl. I can't even imagine getting pregnant at my age, or arrested for drinking. I don't even go out when I do drink, I don't leave the fucking house. And I definantly wouldn't be having sex at that age, especially unprotected sex.

To be honest, this story wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. For some reason, I got the impression from the thread title that she had been pulled over while driving.

Kitten, she's a 12 year old, I don't think it'd be unreasonable to suggest maybe she had no grasp of what motherhood means. And that's ignoring the fact that her mother isn't exactly the maternal best role model in the world. I honestly doubt that religion had anything to do with her decision; at worst they liked the attention that it was getting them, at best they were incredibly naive about what she was actually undertaking.

I wish this story didn't speak quite so much to the schardenfreude (sp?) in me, but when I originally heard about her having a kid I was hoping, for everyone's sake, that something like this would happen. She'll probably have a fly-on-the-wall docusoap made about her and become another celebrity no-mark.

There was a story not long ago about the baby being intensive care, most likely due to the fact that the 12-year old smoked and drank throughout her pregnancy. Her own mother, wonderful role model that she is, didn't see a problem with this.

I read a while back that the 12 year olds mother is a heroin or crack addict. What a fucked up family.

to hear all these stories about the mother and the 12 year old daughter's thoughts on her pregnancy and her, for lack of a better word at the moment, "rowdy" behaviour etc. and then to know that they are against abortion is very bizarre.

(in the last article on this girl there was some quotation from her where she explained that she could never get an abortion)

and here is a case that i can completely support having done a later trimester abortion on her to spare not only her but her kid's life aswell from the utter disaster that it is

Yeah, having a kid at 12, smoking and drinking through out your pregnancy, being in foster care and having your kid end up there as well and being arrested for DUI (AT 12!!) is a much, much better idea.
This kid is wack, and her family too, since they are most likley the ones that gave her the idea that having a kid at this age with this behaviour is a great plan.
Families like these are the reason why I believe in both birth control and abortion.
