| | | Fox News Kind of Impressed Me/Foreigners, check out American News On one hand I hate how much coverage the Wesboro Church gets considering they consists of about 100 people, most related to each other. (And yet I spread the coverage.)
But this entertained me (and upset me). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCdT9dfrb-Q
Is news so entertaining in other countries? |

Julie Banderas was awesome. Screw that whole, "Reporters shouldn't lose their cool" shit. That was intense. |

| | | It was kind of funny, but I would not say that I'm particularly impressed...not that I like the entire God Hates Fags thing or whatever. It would have been way cooler if the crazy lady would have been run down by a bus. |

| | | so...
they get this crazy ass church freak. she belongs to one of those terrible hateful churches? but she opposed the war. she also said the us military caters to gay folks.
i almost worry that this was marketing to the gay crowd, and almost trying to get new support from gay people, and also "normal" religious folks.
cause anyone who thinks the crazy bitch is just stupid, ya know anyone with half a brain, they "bring us to our senses" about the war almost.
the "bimbo" also said towards the end "if you dont like it, why dont you go preach somewhere else?" constitutionally, this dumbass has the right to praise whatever hateful god she wants IN THIS COUNTRY.
im sorry, but it really just seems like reverse psychology. pinning fox news against some crazy fucking religious organization. makes fox looks like saints, more sympathy for the military, and kids start threads on the internet giving fox a pat on the back.
well done. |

well done. | She has the right to praise whatever hateful god she wants in this country; no one's disputing that, but i'ts weird the her and her father Fred Phelps (who claims aligience to Iraq) would say the things they do about America and yet stay here.
I doubt they're marketing toward gays. I would say they're marketing toward moderates.
You think Wesboro Church brings us to our senses about the war? |

| | | Oh, make no mistake this was a well thought-out attempt, if not to appeal to the gay market, maybe a bit to the more humane fox viewer, but most of all, a bit of drama to get that woman to freak out like the gap-toothed lady on the trading mom show.
i still enjoyed it. |

| | | Whoa. A fairly impressive debate for Fox, but the reporter was maybe just getting a little too passionate about it. It's not realy good reporting, allowing yourself to get worked up to the point where you're shouting at, and over, each other. It gave me a Ricki Lake vibe.

I'm not impressed either. A bit entertained and then pissy 'cause I don't think the news should be like this.
Someone who's not American tell me what the news is like? |

There's also the occasional town that caught fire or person peeing on the veterans' monument, but more or less politics and social stories. |

It was the way they were shouting over each other, and the namecalling and assertions that the crazy lady would burn in hell, that stunned me. We get nothing of that sort on the news here. I agree with everything the reporter said, and she said it well (at least in the terms I, the average person, might have put it all) but it was fairly unprofessional.
