when you couch it in terms of "power" and "control" people will say to themselves, "oh, well that's not me, for sure. i dont get off to women being hurt or scared." and they can forget that time or two when the girl under them stiffened up and tried to push them away and said no once or twice (but not loud enough for it to be real... and didnt push hard enough for her to mean it).
