Ecuador has granted him assylum, but basically if he leaves the building the UK will arrest him.

It's not my life on the line, but if I were him I would throw myself onto the fire and go to Sweden. If he gets extradited to the US, well I think that would be the biggest scandal I have seen in many a year.

I never noticed the timing of this before but the first 220 cables were published on November 28, 2010. The Interpol red notice for Assange's arrest was issued November 30, 2010.

As much as my feminist side wants him to answer these allegations, it just doesn't feel legit. The timing, the fact they haven't even charged him yet, the Swedish prosecutor's refusal to question Assange from the UK. UK surrounding the Ecuadorian embassy and threatening to act like 1979 Iranian revolutionaries? **** these people. It's not a shadowy conspiracy. It's blatantly trying to ice leakers. The only thing these authoritarian ****s hate more than their own signed treaties is transparency.

One thing I don't understand, and this is being said, it's that if the US wanted him, they would just take him in the UK. They don't need to have him in Sweden at all.
