I think the whole idea of karma is fascinating, but far too loose a concept to be juxtaposed with something like rape. At the very least this seems too loose a concept to generate any non-polarized discussion on this board

My 2 cents.

I've met this woman on other message boards as well as this one. I heard two heads are better than one, but geesh, this is a bit much.

Anyway, how is it that women are against a male raping a woman, but gang verbal rape seems to a norm? (I know it is drastically different, but ganging up on individuals leads to bad karma all around)

While normally I'd be offended with the caricature and stereotype, it applies here. Most threads in this forum are becoming sniviling little temper tantrums, instead of discussing issues. If you want to have a fight then take it to the Void, or pm each other. Don't clog up the forum with your stupid illiterate clawmarks that do nothing but ruin the discussion.

I think this caricature is spot on from what I've witnessed on the internet. I believe the reason you don't see it so much in public venues is because bullies prefer anonymity. Not saying women are any more bullies than men.

Message boards can obviously become exactly like high-school with people ganging up one person. It's happened to me on this board before. I found it somewhat distressing to be so misunderstood (as I saw it) at the time. But even though you acknowledge rape is "drastically different", to invoke the concept of rape for some polemical purpose to complain (presumably) about bollocks that you're getting from people on here is, um, over-stating your case to say the least.

I don't think this thread is a farce, I think that it's a shame when other threads on worthwhile topics get turned into arguments not having to do with the topic, but rather personal vendettas against other posters.

I do think the caricature applies on the internet, in real life women may play that card with each other but in action it's the opposite. Putting up the front of banding together, but really sabotoging each other more than not.

Back to the thread issue, I was really interested by your thread about sociopaths, but by the time I caught it it had been turned into shit. It's hard to share opinions/experiences when the past page or two have been nothing but back and forth barbs. I've found that with a lot of threads in this forum lately.

I like to post tough issues. I am happy you saw some merit in the sociopathy thread. I think it needs to be addressed.
