I have nothing especially intelligent or clever to say, but I'm so happy! I'm watching the governor's speech now, and I want to get a transcript for the exact wording of the 'At best, this state has been a beacon for progressive movements...' bit. It means a lot to me that the modern gay rights movement started here, in the year I was born. I'm so glad we're not dragging on this issue anymore. And, as impatient as I am, I will say that I noticed that it went from impossible! to happening pretty damn fast.

I'm proud of y'all. Anytime anything human/equal rights wins, I'm a happy dude.

I had a dream last night that Melissa Ethridge died in a Tsunami in Manhattan last night and then woke up to this. My gay and bi friends are going wild on facebook, especially because one of them invested money and volunteered for the campaign. Oh happy day

Great news. I wonder how many years it will be until it's made legal across the country.

It's almost comical to hear/read the arguments against- people trying to intellectualize their bigotry.
