do you feel like greeks just don't talk about controversial stuff to your face? that they will say what they want to say around people they know will agree with them but not around people that wouldn't?

my boyfriend is greek & i think it's funny the way they have such strong opinions but no one says anything to your face. he's from a tiny island and he has long hair & is atheist. so obviously the whole island thinks he's a satanist. but they never tell him that - he just hears it from his friends.

hahaha! pretty much. They're ****ed up in a lot of their own ways too. I've never heard anything in church about controversial subjects - nothing ever about abortion, ****sexuality, divorce, creationism, etc. - but this isn't to say the church doesn't have official opinons about these. It's like you said, they're afraid to say it directly to anyone's face, even in their priest capacity.
