Gosh, what an outrage wanting to stop genital mutilation of children! Why on earth would anyone want to let kids get to adulthood and make their own choices about their genitals? Surely the impenetrable logic of "but our religion likes us to" should repel any efforts to preserve children's genitals until they are old enough to chose whether they want bits lopped off.
SF should get a fricking award for even considering this. Can't believe we sit here in the West and get all hot and bothered about "backward Africans" mutilating their little girl's genitals but happily let people snip bits off their little boys' *****es willy-nilly (to use an unfortunate phrase).
