Pretty much... Apparently Obama has extended this **** storm another week so we get to continue hearing about how they can't agree on where to find the money or what to do with it if and when they do.

Anyway, figuring out how much the government will fund Planned Parenthood is obviously important but it's not worth shutting the government down over. I mean come the **** on, Congress.

Thank god my husband and I enough have money is our savings to last for a while should something substantial actually happen...

As far as fuel goes, I've never understood why Americans get so riled up over the cost of a gallon of gas, especially when you look at what some other countries pay. We depend on these things way too much to begin with but that's a whole other subject.

Random fact: The median guess in a poll released by CNN last Friday was that [said] Americans believe FIVE percent of the budget is set aside for NPR. This would equal $178 billion a year... to run a media outlet. ****ing really..? Maybe it's time to hit up Canada after all.

Here's the article from Salon. It's an amusing read.
