Well in terms of anecdotes over large scale surveys of the civil service (surprised personally that they aren't all suicidally depressed working for the bureaucracy machine which is the government) which I am in the mood for, I eat dark chocolate for breakfast, a cheddar sandwich for lunch and snack on cereal all day. Left to my own devices I will pretty much make pasta and jar pesto for dinner every night. This weekend I made a large banana cake on Saturday and ate it for breakfast and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. And for a 2am snack last night too. I am a very happy person.

When I was a child, I had a very hippie parent who made me live off homemade lumpy brown bread, raisins and carrot sticks for snacks and my cake consumption was twice yearly (once on my birthday, once on my sisters). Nothing we ate was processed at all- except tofu. And I was depressed as fuck. Maybe because I could never swap the contents of my lunch box for anything that tasted like it might have seen an E-factor.

i feel like the universe is testing me
it's ridiculous the things that i've lost in the last 6 months


pretty much everything i used to identify myself is gone. it's hard. i can't help but feel that there is some big lesson to be learned
