My mother's family was in the funeral business. She chose to be cremated and set adrift in the flow of the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico. We kept a bit of her in a small handmade clay vessel. I bought a fetish made by an Alaskan Native Artist to house her spirit and watch over the ashes. Dust to dust.

My whole family is made up of funeral directors.
And they are so expensive
funerals i mean.

even just a cremation costs over a grand.

I need to run this walmart shit by my dad

lol
my mom just said he got a casket for a client from Costco to other day.
I wonder if they bought some in bulk?
She's going on to tell me that they usually come in damaged and take FOREVERRRRR to get fixed
like 48 whole hours
which is a long time when you're decomposing.

i have my mom, dad and grandma's ashes all still sitting in the boxes they came in from the funeral home.
i have considered scattering them or getting an urn but havent decided on anything
my uncle wants my grandma's ashes BAD so he can bury them
but she didn't want them to be buried. she always joked to use them for traction under the tires in the winter but obviously i'm not going to do that

so you know. i dont really know. but not a walmart urn.
