The US has a pretty shameful record in terms of juvenile offenders. Its one of one THREE countries in the world that allow the legal execution of people who commited the crime in question when under the age of 18- the other two are Iraq and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Good company there. Pakistan and China sometimes execute minors but at least its not legal there. And not only that but the US executes more "juveniles" than the other countries put together- and then some. Amenesty states that in the last two years, there have been 5 people worldwide put to death for crimes they committed under the age of 18- and 4 of those were in the US. Odd that you can die for a crime you commit at 16, but you aren't considered mature enough to chose to have an alcoholic beverage until 21...
