| I once wrote a letter of complaint to The Times. They were being massively Daily Mail-esque and I told them so. It was during the beginning of the whole Amanda Knox thing, and even though I think she is guilty, I took massive offense to an article that essentially said "She must be guilty because she had a lot of one night stands and she slept with her current boyfriend ON THE FIRST DATE". I was seriously reading it thinking WTF, what is this, 1910 when if a girl has sex outside of wedlock, she must be a sexual deviant ready to kill? At no point in the article did it ever say "Her boyfriend is clearly a sexual deviant too because he also had sex on the first date". It was such lazy, bad reporting and so laughingly out of touch with most people's attitudes.
