im here in the us and lived in kansas city, about 70 miles south of craig, missouri. i dont find this even news worthy. so many believe it. so many tell me without hesitation including registered nurses and other people who are professionals, that obama is the anti christ; he is the heralding of the end of the world. at the very least he is a muslim intent on destroying america from the inside.

can you see why i would want to move to an area where i am surrounded by people who think more like me? because if i dont seek out a place specific in its political ideology i end up surrounded by this.

I hear both; that he is the anti-Christ and the Messiah, pretty equally and pretty regularly.
The problem: he doesn't fit the Biblical criteria for either.
I mean, we'll see after he wins if he starts being anti-Christ Superstar, but as of yet, he isn't.
I'm still not labeling anyone such a thing unless I saw that Biblical criteria met, and I mean clearly, not bizarrely and vaguely.
Truth is, Christians, the people who believe is an anti-Christ, shouldn't be bothered. If they're good Christians and right with G-d, it wont matter to them....

if you manage an ethanol plant, you are a retard anyway.
ethanol is has been marketed as a biofuel, but it's actually worse for the environment than regular gasoline because of the environmental damage caused by large-scale factory corn farms. the net energy needed to produce corn for ethanol is more than what ethanol produces in energy as a fuel for vehicles.
it's really the stupidest idea ever. and not to mention the absolutely horrid ripple effect the corn market is as a symptom of globalization. so many irreplaceable areas of this earth have been burned and bulldozed flat in developing nations because farmers get tricked by American companies to grow corporate corn, then sell it back to the US at a lower price, and the US sells it to ethanol distributors who make most of the money. the farmer, makes very little money, and usually ruins his land with pesticides, bad farming tactics (poisoning water, soil depletion, ruining natural watersheds causing formerly fertile land to dry up or become too wet, etc). then this farmer and his community have no land to grow their own crops, because they're too busy growing fucking Kansas corn in Cambodia, and the people either starve or buy imported produce, which is largely managed by western companies who jack up the prices so high, it becomes unaffordable, and then the farmer loses even more money, and so on.
if anyone with half a brain took more than 8 minutes to investigate ethanol, they would realize it's such a waste. a smart person would invest in a biofuel factory that was producing based on algae, which is cheap, easily cultivated, and FAR less intensive.
so if this man couldn't figure out the obvious flaws in his business of choice (which is going to fold in the next 5 years), he's probably not capable of discerning the theological and historical complexities of the Bible.
so in his world, obama is a muslim, and all muslims are terrorists (duh) who want to put american babies on stakes and parade them around our churches, then rape all our women. and jesus is a warnin' him of all this, and until the U.S. of A invents those magical cars that run on crumbled up cornbread and moonshine (whoohoo!) to fly us up and away from this awful brown skinned sinning nigger world, mr. hill has to be on the lookout.

They told us from the git go the downside of ethanol, and we didn't seem to care.
That baffled me.
I'm so used to hearing people fight about corporate farms vs family farms. But nothing happens except more and more corporate farms are made. Ya get numb to it after a while.

i would also like to add, that Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all so closely related at their cores. and Islam has always recognized Christians and Jews as other "people of the book" and it also recognizes Jesus as a relevant religious figure (just not as relevant as Muhammad).
it's not like Islam is some crazy godless religion. i've never been an evangelical, but, before 9/11 let's say.. in 1998, did anyone in an evangelical community or even in rural areas care about Muslims?

Yeah, heard people saying the same kind of things on forums. It doesn't phase me, but I do wonder why him specifically, and not, say, John Kerry 4 years ago, or Al Gore before that. I mean, I get that it probably is just because he's black, but it's highly unlikely any of them would outright admit that that's the reason. I'm just interested in the justification.
