This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

This "woman" is from Alaska. What did the universe expect? a conversation about high fashion? Ignorance can certainly be found in every dark corner of the fifty, but the only thing more vile than vileness is vileness mingled with a smug sense of superiority. The Republican party has perfected this attitude. Calling a Harvard educated lawyer a Sambo is a little delusional. I am utterly convinced that the republican party is nothing but a cult like recruiting station for the worst THUGS of the intellectual and philosophical universe. Individuals wholly unfit by experience and nature to sit in polite discussion with the greatest minds of history. The Nazi ranks were not filled by scholars but rather those too stupid to disagree and those too criminal or power hungry to dissent. As I said in another post, Abraham Lincoln would kill himself if he saw the dregs that now straggled in to walk in his footsteps.

The worst part about McCain is that they act as if fighting in a war and being a POW deifies the man. What is honorable about picking up a weapon, marching to bad music, and then shooting another man? how is that different from murder again? War "Hero" is a pathetic oxymoron. There is nothing heroic about killing someone else. And the only thing more pathetic than a political party that sells that hype is a candidate who buys into it. Lincoln would survey the scene and give booth directions to his private box.

As for Sarah Palin, well she thinks John McCain is a hero. Intellectually, I can do better than cast my vote for someone whose own self admitted greatest achievement in life is being locked up in a POW camp and killing another man.

Well, ambiguity is irritating. It might be safest.
