I agree with you. I think, however, that the far to the right voters would have still come out and used a vote for McCain as a vote against Obama. But I do think the Palin choice provides them with something to rally around.

Anyway, I don't think McCain and Palin seem to like each other much. But I really like that picture and wish it were real.

Contrary to popular opinion, some people will actually vote for Obama because of his ideas and not his race.

Voting for Hillary or Palin ONLY because she is a woman (or Obama only because he is an african american), is the crudest representation of the highest disrespect for the political process because it completely ignores everything about the candidate, from ideas to individual personality and even physical appearance/attractiveness, and bases the vote solely on the letter indicated on the candidates birth certificate.
