Lindsey Williams tell a different story. An 8 part youtube video series worth checking into.

This is 8 of 8 for those who don't want to spend the time to discern ALL the facts.

Prices will be going up to $6-7 per gal in the US due to the IMF, not any of the misleading choices CNN offers.

This poll really demonstrates why people fall for the big illusions. The Wizard of OZ was such a wonderful artistic masterpiece in depicting illusion; not only by Big Corporations/Government(fascism) but also by the professor(education).

The real reason people in this poll haven't a clue is because the average public does not read.

Gasoline is not really that high....If you take into account inflation then gas in United States is actually really cheap compared to the rest of the world...

Americans still drive SUV and other large vechiles unlike people in europe who are forced to drive micro cars...

This is indirectly linked to the oil prices, but the consensus in the UK media seems to be that all the financial problems at the moment are mostly caused by a vicious cycle of speculation (in the media, haha). I know very little about economics but it does seem plausible.

The whole biofuels thing annoys me the most, its a quick fix so that people don't have to use their cars less; and now food prices are too high for the poorest people. I haven't noticed food prices going up but maybe the amounts are kind of negligible to me because I'm only buying for myself.

It's the nature of simplistic thinking; many people chose one issue or one group mindset, and this dominates their focus.

Look at politics in America: people often identify with being in one interest group or another, and every issue is seen from this group paradigm. The internet is another example: why would gender or sexual preference always be pointed out if people identified with multiple perspectives?

How many people actually want the truth when it rests outside of their well-established world view?

If you research the main controlling factor in high oil prices you will see it starts at the top--this is all that I am pointing out. Yes, other factors are included under the umbrella, but the controlling factor of these high prices stems with the IMF.

Take it easy on the Oil tycoons. They claim the high oil prices are needed because they are really hurting for money. These people basically buy the gas from Saudi or Venezuela for about .35 cent a gallon and they turn around and sell for about $3.60 a gallon.

The Oil executive state they are really hurting for money and they are all living in poverty. They want the people to know they too are feeling the pain…

And President Bush and Cheney both concurs with the oil executives...

Discernment skills do require a clear head and a lot of reading and watching. I don't depend on CNN for truth; it starts with looking deep inside oneself first.

I'd say that you feeling you can interpret the words in my head is a bit arrogant and manipulative of you. The bigger picture is whether you think the world is an abundant place or whether you see dwindling resources as a sign of the end, therefore the Government needs to nationalize industries and limit knowledge and expression to ideologically designated experts.

I believe we should educate ourselves and demand the truth , not only from the Government and business leaders, but most assuredly we need to speak our truth to ourselves and those we love. We can fight about the facts, but there is no way of getting around the truth to who we are in our hearts.

are these the only choices? crivens, if only someone had told me! anyway it's the abundance of technetium that leaves me marvelling at mother earth's benevolence, if only there were less of it, we wouldn't take things for granted so much, i'm sure

tell me about the truth you speak in the false dichotomy you made in the quote above this one, about how we must either believe in abundance or nationalization?
