| | Al Qaeda threat.... Al Qaeda has made another threat. Americans are getting sick and tired of hearing the non sense. If Al Qaeda actually came out his cave and looked around he would see that United States is doing superb. Americans are just ignoring Al Qaeda babbles. Americans are wondering what the hell a man can do that is hiding in a cave. If Al Qaeda had any brains he would ask his Al Qaeda spies inside United States drinking Margaritas if his threats mean anything. His spies will laugh out loud and say no. Al Qaeda No. 2: Attacks on Western nations in works - CNN.com
In the beginning I used to lose some sleep every time Al Qaeda made any threats but now I find that I sleep just like a baby knowing that Al Qaeda is far away and deep in a cave like a dead man in a grave where he can do no harm…
Can Al Qaeda here the laugher of everyone laughing at him and not with him…. |

Is that suppose to make United States scared? Does Al Qaeda realize that the U.S. mocks people who hide in caves?
Let me put it this way. If Al Qaeda were to speak in Washington DC they would still be ignored by the American people....
It's like talking to the wind.... urinating into the wind...
Those muslim people including Saudi Arabia better watch out because if the price of gas gets to high.... America will just take the oil. |

That would be so cool. The Al Qaeda game. Can you imagine playing it on a play station? The Al Qaeda people can be hiding in the caves as President Bush and Cheney utter words causing Al Qaeda to hide again and again. It can even be an educational game played in Schools. |

| | Well this lastest Al Qaeda threat has come and gone...
Al Qaeda needs to realize they do not have the brains, education, technogy to do much of anything. Let's face it, everyone just gets annoyed by Al Qaeda threats. |

| | | Let me see: we live in a 24/7 culture where Britney Spears and Madonna rein; we have enough nuclear weaponry to destroy the world; a man who speaks truth and basic individual freedom is labeled an extremist for running on traditional Republican principles; the dollar is being propped up as Americans buy Chinese goods due to slave labor rates; internet users feel stealing intellectual property off shared file sites is okay, yet think predatory mortgage banking is criminal; hate is spoken without reprisal, yet a poet writes on KR to awaken the haters and is accused of hate and bigotry; philosophy is an uncomfortable topic yet gossip about celebrities is just friendly chit-chat; now a man lives in a cave in Pakistan is feared by extremists in the west ready to live in bunkers in Idaho, yet students of Western life spend no time discussing Plato's cave allegory but are spending hours and hours on the internet trashing people who think WE ARE CRAZY. Duh!! makes one think, finally, doesn't it?

They then go on to discuss Baudrilliard, Deleuze and Guttari, and others who took the time to develop and elaborate upon the allegory, rather than being content to site a trendy old philosopher any time they're feeling too lazy to debate anything properly.
They may not discuss it with you, but that's probably got more to do with them thinking you're an asshole than them not knowing anything about the subject. |

I believe mine is the second reference to Plato's Cave Allegory on the entire site. Since you are so well trained in name-dropping and philosophy maybe you could start a thread about these thoughts outside of fearing some small radical group of "Naked King pointer-outers".
