Anyway, this is nothing the UK aren't already used to, we have an incredible number of CCTV cameras around our towns and elsewhere. It's not cool from a privacy perspective, but I don't mind it too much b/c I go about my day as an average, law-abiding person. Unless they're specifically looking for you on CCTV footage, and lord knows how grainy that **** is at the best of times, you're just another anonymous person strolling by.
As far as huge abuses of liberty go, this little flying gizmo is not a big deal to me at all. They're deploying it specifically in troublesome situations. I don't know where you're from, kiddo, but if you know anything about Britain and the fairly extensive anti-social behaviour problems here (which they mention in that video, but obviously you're not paying attention), you'd probably understand it a bit better.
Your knee jerk nonsense is not really warranted in this case.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not cool with government and police spying and monitoring the general public at large. But if you've got dicks causing trouble, I'd prefer they went seen rather than unseen.  |
