It's becoming more clear to me Barack Obama is a special sort of person. When these people come along you gotta throw yer support behind them.

And unlike all the self-professed 'pros', he can be very humble and even self-deprecating. The pros are hard-wired ... Who needs them ...

I agree with you, and watching the video fen posted, I almost came to the point of thinking that he would be the right person for the job right now, but then I imagined him there and all I can think of is him getting overwhelmed.

I think that America needs a transitional president from Bush...it would be nice if someone with more experience, Hillary, or even Al Gore did a four year stint (with Obama as VP -and president of the Senate, which he's already been in) and then let Obama take the reins in 2012 (or more correctly, January, 2013).

Do you think Obama is going to run the country completely by himself? You don't think he will put people of experience in place in his Administration? He doesn't need all the answers, he needs to be an effective leader who knows how to get people with the best skills to work together. I think he's proven he is capable of doing that. We don't have for a transitional anything. We need him NOW.

See I didn't find that video too bad (though I really don't think he's that charismatic) until he said (leaving out the fact he confused how many presidents America had had):

"The day im inaugurated i think this country looks at itself differently, your son sees someone different as president, after 43 of 'em your son'll see someone different and say hey that guys got a funny name like me."

See this just backs up my initial argument that he's using race to suggest change but that it is someting no one can argue against without being called a racist. If Hillary had said she thought his name would be a negative when it came to winning over voters or influence outside of America she would have been demonised, as that memo you all spoke about suggested. It's not that I dislike Obama, I just think he's playing a very sneaky game.

And talking about being the constant underdog when he has raised more money recently and has such high profile support as Oprah and Ted Kennedy... I think he's duping people using race and I think that people are going to be surprised at how little he does for change as President. I hope I'm wrong but you know what they say about power corrupting. He's building all this momentum on faith, trust, and hope, three things that tend to get overlooked in the grand scheme of politics.
