I can tell you a story you won't believe about how they can hide it. There was documentary about a ex-Nazi guard that hid out in Toronto and was best friends with a Jewish family ... they were completely shocked when they found out what he was.
Hillary and Barack don't know everyone and everything ... lotta money could be from unscrupulous people ... they don't wear signs 'unscrupulous here' ... I consider corporate lobbyists unscrupulous ... for some reason many democraps think corporate lobbyists are harmless ... fortunately Barack does not, and since he's gonna win, all Hillary's 11 corporate lobbyists will close their act and slink back to the shadows ..... |

And geek, I'm not going to pretend that I'm well versed enough in this stuff to compare their records. I do know, however, that when comparing Obama and Hillary in terms of how they'd be able to navigate themselves through the Washington landscape, that her many years of experience, and her connections are going to go a long way. And I think it's naive for anyone to think that this isn't important.
Sorry to do this (I'm probably saturating this place with article posting) but I just found this, and it sort of falls into what I was thinking: | Sorry I missed all these posts.... it's a good discussion.
I wonder whether HC would help or hurt the O ticket, but I agree that Hills should bow out-- that would be EXTRAORDINARILY MAGNANIMOUS! and she would win some popularity over that. Sometimes I think, if she cared about her country (which is the reason she gives for running) then she would see the writing on the wall with the populist vote and support O.
But I'm torn on whether she would hurt or help O. I tend to think she would help. Your typical average American voter doesn't care so much who the running mate is unless the frontrunner is weak personality-wise, and then again, they don't care that much. I think they would make a fabulous team, and haha, HC would be "President" of something; the Senate, that is. She would rock that position!
But forgettabout it. I'd be shocked if she conceded. |

I dunno, I read somewhere Hillary and McCain are good friends ...
But you guys are big about being brave and strong ... Well, so is McCain. And it shows ya being brave and strong is not everything. They can be fighters, but what matters is what they are fighting for and WHO they are fighting for.
Another amusing parallel is the only candidate that has more corporate lobbyists than Hillary running their campaign is McCain. She has 11 and he has ... 26!! |

Either that or it's like the House Of Lords here, which is just appointed seemingly on the whim of who is in charge and who did who what favours. Well that and bishops. | Superdelegates don't have to be elected by the people. Donna Brazile, Al Gore's former campaign manager, is a superdelegate. She holds no elected office at the moment. It seems people who are party insiders can be appointed a superdelegate. The DNC fully controls this. Senator Joe Lieberman was just stripped of his superdelgate status for supporting John McCain. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
