I'm thinking maybe you just like to be argumentative when you don't need to be. I agree that PEOPLE ARE STILL RACISTS. (Duh! Never said they weren't! It's just that you & your pal dirtyplotte like to create disagreement where there is none!)
Relax. As I mentioned previously, I think we agree on the basics (see my post, above.). You yourself have made some presumptions about me ... maybe Dirtyplotte has just confused you with her personal attacks on me-- I don't really know. If you like jumping on the bandwagon of someone who is irrational and seeks disconnect rather than understanding, oh well then, that's your business... but i think listening to her (and responding for her, as you do on these posts) is creating a lot of unnecessary off-topic confusion. | Research fallacies please. There is no need to create disagreement, I flat out completely and utterly disagree with your opinions about racism in this country and the impact it has on black people (biracial or not) regardless of whether their ancestors were slaves. I don't give a rat's ass about your issues with Dirty, but she was right on in your blindness.

Again, I will repeat myself: This discussion is not about whether race exists, but you seem determined to have that discussion. It is about racism in America. You have a skewed perception of what it means to be black in this country and you can not back up how you came to this perception. You can ramble for days, but you can not properly address an argument or questions posed to you. You think its about being combative, which it isn't, I save that for CLo threads. It's about addressing your words. I can do this without a problem, you have a very hard time doing this with me.
This is not about a misunderstanding, its about you blantantly twisting my words to the point of lying. You still cannot point out where I ever claimed racism was more significant than sexism. It's very convenient for you to say you don't have time to go back and find quotes, but the fact is, I never said it. I certainly think the damage of racism is more prevalent in our society than the damage of sexism. But I will never claim one is more significant than the other. I'm extremely consistent.
You want to blame it on taking things out of context when I gave you ample opportunity to explain yourself and support your position. I still for the life of me do not understand what you think "culturally black" is and why you beleive Obama is not. I still do not understand why you think racism feels different to a person if their ancestors were slaves instead of their parent(s) being directly from Africa. You do realize that most of us have no idea where the hell our ancestors came from, let alone if they were slaves. We can make that assumption, but we don't know for sure so how much of an impact can it have on our feelings? Again, I said the issue is whether you were born and raised here. Seriously, if I thought it would do you any good, I would actually buy you the book I recommended.
And your handicap at not being able to review old posts? I'm sorry, are you physically unable to do this? Because logic would dictate that instead of wasting time accusing people of things they have not done, and instead of writing long rambling nonsense such as this, perhaps you should spend time researching your accusations before making them. You giving your "general" impression with statements such as "But the fact that Obama is not culturally black sort of blows your argument that it is more significant to elect Obama based on his skin color." Are you kidding me?
And please, do not accuse me of doing exactly what you are doing. I have no problem going back and reading old posts to ensure I am not getting the wrong impression about someone. I do not blantantly accuse people of doing something they obviously did not do. If you can not properly research people's statements, perhaps you would be better off not making accusations, eh? | why bother? she'll never get it. just call her a bitch and have a bit of fun.
i learned early on (at this board) that when you truly cant communicate with someone dont ever try and bridge the gap. people know what they want to know, not what they need to know.

If they did re-do the Florida and Michigan primaries (which is looking the best option to solving the problem) who do people think is most likely to succeed? | It's wise of him to distance himself from the Clinton talk of making him VP. It's a good strategy on their part but he needs to nip that in the bud quick.
Philly will likely go to Obama. My bf is trying to get me to go up for a day to campaign. I need to look at my workload before deciding.
As for Florida and Michigan, I think prior to everything that has happened, both would have went to Clinton at a large margin. This time around, she may still win, but it may be more evenly split.

I mean, does she really not get it?!?!
