The so called New York Giants built a Giant stadium in New Jersey because they do not like New York…

What about the Jets? They play in New Jersey too, don't they? No problem with them?

I figure this is as good a thread as any to post this, although I think the actual phrase wasn’t used in the opening post – my boss just sent me the current weekly update from the Council of Family and Child Caring Agencies because it has an article relevant to what has become one of my proposal-writing domains (mental health services for children in foster care). The first article, however, is about how it is the opening of the legislative season in the state capital, and it opens: “It is that time of year, still lots of dire budget rumors swirling in Albany” I shuddered, then had to remind myself that it is a legitimate phrase that is no doubt true in this instance.
