How does it prove that? You don't have a control group, so you don't know what would've happened if you didn't take any extraordinary security measures against terrorism. All it proves is what we already know (that we haven't had any major terrorist incidents in the States for a few years since 9/11), but since we didn't have them for as many years before 9/11, it doesn't really support national paranoia at all.
