zeitgeist

I did a quick search on the forum and didn't see this posted. No, it's not the smashing pumpkins. It's zeitgeist: the movie. So who's seen it?

I was hoping they'd get a little deeper into the subject of religion, and I wasn't particularly enthralled with more 911 theories (be patient and sit through it). However, I was quite interested in the 3rd part of the movie where it goes into the federal reserve system - a system I generally take for granted and don't give much thought to.

If you haven't seen it, watch it now. And pass it along.

good movie. interesting points of view. and some good facts too, i also definitely enjoyed the stuff about the fed.

have you seen "america: freedom to fascism" at all? it's all about the fed. they do need to be shut down. even though american government is way too reliant on them to sustain any kind of economy... without the whole age of aquarius/utopian world thing happening.

I just saw this last night, and I just kept thinking Ron Paul...haha

I think there's a lot of truth in it, but also a lot of manipulation of the facts to sensationalize and help his views hit home.

The religion stuff was so liberating to watch. (I was indoctrinated as a Christian since infancy...nothing fanatical, Greek Orthodox, which is 90% tradition/cultural as opposed to Biblical observance, but still it's enlightening to see something like this. It makes me feel better about being Agnostic now).

The Fed stuff was the most disturbing thing to me...I'd heard before about it not being a government owned bank, but I didn't really pay attention enough to understand. It's just appalling that this structure is allowed to exist in a democracy.

I'd always assumed that it was a owned by the government like the Bank of Canada is (i.e. it's "Crown Corporation").
