Before I'm misquoted i don't think all Americans act this way, but the voting majority seem to, and thats what counts unless the majority decide not to vote in which case you have a democratic "crisis" and the system has to ask why. i will slightly not agree.

it's not stupid, it's fooled.

as in: the whole thing, every year we get a whole lecture about the greatness of the founder.

in the same way that old punx used to get all moist and stiff about Russian socialism and have a blind spot about Stalin and Lenin, gulags and prison camps -- Americans get a blind spot about slavery, genocide of indigenous, rule of thumb etc.

i think grass roots reform is more effective than simply not voting
although voting in a rigged election is a waste.

voter disgust is not voter apathy.

i still won't encourage them while they are cheating and taking the tax and not doing the people's will. fuck that.

Longshot, i agree with you on the whole taking your tax and not doing your will contradiction but how do you reform the monster that is the American economic and political system. The only way i can think is revolution (i think i here the cia knocking), but somehow i cant see that happening and i doubt if it would even work. How do you go about reforming the grass roots of American politics? Is there even any roots left to reform? Literally, where are the grass roots of American politics and could they contend with the big guns, even on mass? Somehow, i think money would have a major part to play in that failing, but we live in hope.

The "individual" is the revolution. Be yourself; know yourself; respect yourself. This will be in defiance of the system that demands that you live a false life and therefore supports money over spirit.
