I just got done getting my youngest son off pot. For four years I battled his addiction, and yes, it is an addiction. For four years I watched his life go to **** from that garbage, and now he is struggling to get caught up on life.
Video games cause some to take guns to school? I doubt that. My entire life there have been guns lying all over the place. Swing a door and you'll see one propped in the corner behind it. My neighbors, same thing. We as kids knew they were there, yet it never occurred to us to pick one up. We just never paid them any mind, unless we wanted to go out back and do some shooting. Whenever we did take them to school is was to repair them in the wood shop or metal shop.
I have guns all over the place here. The kids never picked them up to go settle some score. They'd call the perp out and either hash it out or duke it out.
What I mean by degrading lifestyle is just that. If anything keeps you from living up to the responsibilities required to maintain and improve your life, then it degrades your lifestyle.
