Although I may not agree with the religious views, or like the lack of credibilty of the source, I really think that it was a great letter to really highlight the hypocracy of the presidents 'beliefs' and actions

It was mistranslated. He said "Isreal will have no place in history."

Well that's the problem; even after all this, it's still possible. It's been strongly suggested even by people in the White House that they don't really believe Iran has the technology to enrich uranium to the extent that is required to make weapons, but can believe that they have it at a level necessary to make nuclear power. It's something like 90% enrichment for a bomb, 30% for power. So while I don't doubt that that President at least has ambitions of nuking Israel, it's entirely possible that he couldn't.

And based on past form, can you blame a country on the US's "To Do" list for arming themselves? Compare and contrast: Iraq and Afghanistan vs North Korea.

He has expressed very strong anti-Israeli sentiments fairly consistently though.

On a possibly slightly dodgy aside, I've noticed a lot of Muslims complain about being misrepresented by the media, but if you hear them debate all they seem to want to do is set up some semantic trap, using deliberately vague language that allows them to be easily misinterpreted, and then complaining when the interviewer doesn't want to over-run just to argue the minutiae of one needlessly cryptic sentence. I'm not saying this as an indication of the entire race, I'm sure it's just how they've been represented to me in the media, but to me at least it doesn't seem like they make it easy for themselves.
