Everybody has the right to have their own thread. It's just good form to keep a single topic within one thread.

Yes. It's really not bad.

It's not hugely relevant, but I'm curious re your example: has anyone here at KR bought their son a convenience store?

Seems a kinda unlikely scenario.

Did any patrons make you feel nervous--like they were casing out the store?

A fellow worker at the store my wife works at has finally been made an official suspect, after months of imprisonment on a sexual abuse claim. He is suspected of killing a young pregnant woman that he had a secret affair with. She was killed with a knife.

My wife said to him hours before that she was not affraid of him--after he tried to scare her in the break room. In this case a gun would be dangerous to have in the store because it could be used by dangerous employees to kill innocent people or robbers--the point being--does a clerk have a right to kill a criminal over money?

I don't get it; was the pregnant woman he's meant to have killed a store clerk? Because if not that has absolutely no bearing on the example.

Store clerks should be protected I guess, but that doesn't necessarily mean arming them. Surely some Kevlar would do a lot more good, cuz if you're in the middle of counting someone's change you're not necessarily going to be able to grab your gun.

And no, I never particularly felt under threat in the store. Occasionally you'd get some jerk being a jerk, but that was normally just a case of ignoring them til they went away.

Your example's not that persuasive, really.
